setting the scene with binary business

The Pumphouse was built in 1890 as a pumping station for the Sydney & Suburban Hydraulic Power Company. setting the scene

When electricity took over from hydraulic power, the building was saved from demolition and restored to become the Pumphouse Tavern.

Today the Pumphouse Bar honours that tradition by bringing back the infamous Thunderbolt boutique beer, and stocking over 60 other beers from Australia and around the world.

Fully refurbished, the Pumphouse offers a sophisticated atmosphere of industrial 'chic' and in the intensely competitive Sydney bar market their website had to create a strong atmosphere. Great photography set in a strong, dark colour scheme and a multimedia 'story' combined to set the scene.
